Free Domain

A domain name - that was what I needed for my future site. I had it all worked out in my head. I had a web design and website content plan, I knew that I needed a Linux-based web site hosting solution and that I needed to register a domain name.

Asking Around Provides Results

My biggest quandary was what domain name to choose for my site. It had to be easy-to-memorize, catchy, and, well, free to register! I examined quite a few until I discovered one that was free to register, but then I saw the outrageous price, since I had chosen a .co.uk domain. These country-specific domains are apparently more expensive than the popular .com, .net, .org, etc. domain names. With my constrained allowance, I just ditched that idea and began considering discovering another web hosting supplier. I disclosed my intention to almost everyone I could think of who had a clue about web sites and the web in general, so a comrade of mine showed me the web site NTChosting.com and said: "Voilà! Cheap web site hosting plans! And a free-of-charge domain!"

I Discovered My Web Hosting Provider! Hurrah!

Needless to mention, at first I thought that he was kidding, but he wasn't. These blokes from NTChosting provide discounted website hosting packages - on shared web servers, which does not appear to be a concern when it comes to small and medium-size web sites. Also, they are United Kingdom-based, and have web hosting servers in the UK. Well, not only - but also in America, Sweden and Australia, but what I required was a United Kingdom-based web hosting solution anyhow. The biggest benefit, though, is that they offer a free domain if you sign up for 1 year instead of paying on a monthly basis! That does not refer to .co.uk domain names, regrettably, because they are registered for a 2-year period by default, but .com, .net, .biz, .info and several more domain names come free of charge, so how could I neglect this free offering?

I'm Pleased With My New Hosting Packages Provider!

With the free domain registration and their discounted domain name and hosting package prices, these chaps lured me. I did register and even found a software tool that could help me build my website - its name is Site Studio. A web site building tool with - I did attempt calculating but lost count! - more than seventy web page layouts suitable for both commercial and personal websites. Now, isn't that astonishing? And the bonuses do not stop there! I am one fortunate girl! Now, enough twaddle from me, I should continue with the making of my web site masterpiece!
